Lost Planet 2 character customization explained photo

If you've been following Lost Planet 2, you're likely aware that the game will feature some relatively deep character customization options this time around. If not, now you know. To explain how some of these options work, Snow over at Capcom-Unity has posted a blog that details just what you can customize and how.

Weapons, for instance, are broken down into categories, and you can choose a favorite from each. Snow points out that if you prefer a shotgun for your short-range weapon, that's what will appear on the battlefield for your character. If someone drops a different short-range weapon like a flamethrower, it'll be a shotgun when you go pick it up. Pretty cool stuff.

The post contains further info on costumes, taunts (called Emotes in LP2), and nickname tags like those seen in SFIV. There's also some hints and teasing on unannounced features, along with answers to some of the more popular questions about the game. It's a fun read if you've been looking forward to Lost Planet 2, and you can check it out here.

Nice to see that they also have a choice of male/female with their character customization.

I didn't know it would have character customization, too. I found the (PS3)demo to be incredible fun, but too short (as in, "awww it's over").

Based on the demos I think this game is going to be really fun. I'm looking forward to it.

Same here Topher. I've played it yesterday with Shipero and we were having a blast! Great weapons and great enemies. I really love how those bugs move around and react to being shot. And that boss battle? So good! Shipero jumped in his mouth and was shooting it from inside his stomach while I was blasting him with rockets and disc-grenades from the outside. Those V-suits (that's what they're called right?) are great too. Mount different weapons on it, repair it hoover while shooting rockets and stuff. Work together or just dick around it's all great great fun.

I can't wait for this game now.

Ohh now I know :)

I really enjoyed the demo of this game! So much in fact that I went out the next day and spent $17 on the 1st one as I've never played it.

Sounds interesting but I just don't wanna be too excited about this game. The demo was absolutely stunning as it is. There's too much to look forward to, the less I know, the better I'll be. :)

Safe to assume there will be a Dtoid army for this game?
