Lost Odyssey DLC hits US Xbox Live today photo

As Lost Odyssey fans should be aware, new downloadable content was announced for the game on the Japanese Xbox Live Marketplace a while ago, which included new items. Well, if you didn't nab the content for your game back then, now might be a good time to start.

The content pack, priced at 200 points, will include the "Killer Machine" ring which should render many enemies a cakewalk, "The Memory Lamp" which gives the player access to any cutscene in the game, and "The Shattered Bond" which takes you to a brand new dream, exclusive to the North American content pack.

No word on anything for we Europeans yet. Here's hoping they don't keep us waiting six months.

You need to pay to watch the cutscenes again?
Or is this just to see them without unlocking them?
I haven't played the game but if its the former then that is a huge scam for content that should be in the launch title.
If its the latter then the first two items just sound like cheats.

Hamsizzla: I hear it's a great buy fir JRPG fans. But I keep pushing it back for some reason. And now I have copies of Persona 3 FES and Nocturne on the way so I don't think I'll be getting this anytime soon...

This should be a free pack... I'll gladly pay for the DLC that enables the extra achievements though.

So, is the DLC actually region locked, and if so would I have to make a hong kong live account in order to download compatible content for my import copy? I'm not really planning on getting any of this anyway, but I'm still curious to know.

Unless the DLC is gonna make Lost Odyssey less generic, I'm not interested.

@Sarin

You can view all the dreams you've already seen from the main menu or in any inn without this DLC. So no, it's not really a big scam, but I do think it's a waste of money.

@Milkman - Congratulations! You either know nothing about LO, or nothing about JRPGS. Go ahead and compare anything from the final fantasy series to the elements of LO, and you'll find a lot of similarities. These are the similarities that define the RPG genre. Other than that, you've got an interesting story that I've never seen anything like in gaming, lots of interesting mechanics, like ring building and the skill link mechanic, (all of which are tons better than "gambits"), and great balance.

Way to pass judgement on a game from screenshots from Game Informer.

I don't care about "enhancements", like in the case of Lost Odyssey. The only stuff that interests me are things that will offer more game play.

You know something funny, that screenshot has done more for my desire to play Lost Odyssey than any review or fangasm has done. I actually want to play it now, whereas before I was in the mindset of 'I'm going to play it, but its not a priority'. Well played.

Listen to yesterday's "Footsteps" MGS YTMND and you'll hear Kaim's voice. He was a soldier.
