Lost Cities on XBLA this Wednesday photo

This week's addition to Xbox Live Arcade is an adaptation of the hit 1999 card game Lost Cities. It's hard to describe how Lost Cities (800 Microsoft Points) is played, since I've never actually tried the game before, but it has to do with investing in expeditions and amassing points. Anyone want to give us a more in-depth description of the game?

While I don't have the patience required to play board/card games from start to finish, I will say this: if there was no way around releasing another card game on XBLA, I'd rather have Lost Cities than yet another version of Solitaire.

How's that for an endorsement?

I love the fact this games are coming out on XBLA. These types of games are awesome but difficult to play once you move away or get too busy to meet with the ol' D20 gang. Kudos to Microsoft for encouraging these games.

Can you play 2 people on one console? If so this game is money.

Someone needs to convert all of Fantasy Flight Games games for XBLA/PSN with online multiplayer options. Board/Card games are sweet, though.

It's a great 2 player game. I would be interested to see how it works out with four player mode or whatever they said they added.

I really doubt you can play single console since, like Settlers of Catan, your cards need to be hidden. Carcassonne there's nothing to hide from the other players.

I'll give it a try, although i would prefer if they made the zombie tabletop game Conrad cbloged about for XBLA.

You can read more about it here if you'd like. I've never played the thing, but from what I read, it doesn't sound like it'd hold my interest for very long, and I'm pretty into the card/board games that they've released on XBLA.

I have the card game (and have about half an article written about it somewhere) and I like it, but it's difficult to explain and can be pretty heavily predicated on luck. There is some good strategy to be had here, though. I'll try and write about it for Saturday.

If I had spare income, I would definitely give this ago, despite Grim's sick burn.
