Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is the first Lord of the Rings game for babies.
I say this because the title features caricature-like characters that have stumpy little arms, like games for babies tend to have. Also, the game is being positioned as a cooperative experience (you can play as Gandalf alongside Aragorn) that's fun for the whole family. Or two babies. Your call.
The game is slated for a Spring 2010 release for PlayStation 2, Wii, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation Portable. All jokes aside, it doesn't look that bad -- I'm a big fan of mindless hack and slash games, regardless of how mediocre they are. Plus, that troll totally looks like a baby.
It looks like a mashup of LoTR Return of the King and Hobbit for Gamecube, both of which were highly enjoyable games. Always a fan of the multiplayer hack 'n slashes!
The sheer amount of generic in that video left a bad taste in my mouth. It was as if I had seen every frame a thousand times before, in a thousand other 3rd person brawlers and action games. Even his running animation is the same. His fucking running animation.
