Lord British is taking Stephen Colbert's DNA into space photo

Game designing nutcase Richard "Lord British" Garriott will be taking the DNA of satirical reporter Stephen Colbert into space. The Ultima creator is due to visit the International Space Station in October, because he is eccentric and that's what eccentric people do.

"I am thrilled to have my DNA shot into space, as this brings me one step closer to my lifelong dream of being the baby at the end of 2001," proudly states Colbert.

Lord British himself is also pleased to be taking a bag of Stephen with him into Space: "In the unlikely event that Earth and humanity are destroyed, mankind can be resurrected with Stephen Colbert's DNA. Is there a better person for us to turn to for this high-level responsibility?"

A planet populated entirely by Stephen Colbert? Could we exist as a society that does nothing but take the piss out of itself?

Colbert should have kept that Presidential running going, at this point I'd like anyone but the morons we have to choose. Check the title though, Jim.

Oh great, now we have former editors critiquing the validity of news posts?

Also, I'm disappointed that there was no 2001-related header. So much potential.

This makes me wonder how many Colbert races there will be in Spore, a few days from now.

Just when I thought this epic space trip couldn't get any better- leaving one question: whose DNA will Char Aznable take into space?

There's also a new Dtoider among us who won immortality at PAX and will have his DNA alongside Colbert's on that spaceride.

Anything involving Colbert is important. He is America, and so can you.

In what form does this DNA of Colbert's take? Blood sample or semen?

It's a good mix, since Lord British can't be killed anyways (I learned that juicy tidbit from all 7 Ultimas I've played over the years)

As impressive as the bridge in Hungary is, being the basis for potentially reforming the human race is a big step up.
