...seriously though, sega really needs to at least bring out a peripheral for this game, it looks like it would give my hand cramps trying to use the analog.
Man, I wish this was 800 points. I don't know if I'm THAT into it for $15, when I have the Dreamcast version that I haven't even looked at in years.
Well, its not so much a hardcore purity thing, for me anyway.
In the arcades, the sticks were setup right next to each other, and the controls played up that fact. Strafe right was both sticks directly right, jump was both sticks directly opposite of each other. If nothing else, the arcade setup felt really bad ass!
On 360, you're just off alignment. I honestly don't know how its actually going to feel, but right off the bat, its a different control experience. With such fond memories of the original and its not-broken controls, I think its unfortunate that it'll be changed from that.
But watcha gonna do, eh?
Notice the button layout, which you I guess will mimic well enough to Shoulder triggers and L3/R3.

Seriously, I'm not as hardcore about this as it seems.
Fucking great to see it arrive though. I still bust out my Saturn twin sticks from time to time!
