Well, it takes more than half of the damn video to get there, but there is actually footage of gameplay and fighting in this trailer from the upcoming Shining Force Feather DS, which our own Jim Sterling seemed to rather enjoy at Tokyo Game Show.

My knowledge of Shining games is unfortunately backwards -- I know the characters thanks to the multitude of figures made of them that we post over at Tomopop, but it wasn't until recently that I finally got my hands on Shining Tears. Considering that the DS is one of my favorite gaming devices, I'm sure that I will be giving this one large amounts of my free time soon enough.

[Thanks, Adam]

That is all.

Looks great, but Sega has never revived an old property without making a massively crappy game out of it, so I'm a little wary.

Seems to have an RTS oriented battle system. This just might be the first Shining Force game that I'll pick up since SF3.

They need to remake Shining Force 3 with all the 3 parts put together. Hell yeah I would pay good money for the remake.

Why is it that a bunch of established series' love to stop doing what the fans enjoy?

I miss traditional SPRGs.

I sorta liked Shining Soul II in a hilarious-disaster-you-ridicule-with-friends way. It was a pretty terrible game but the Mana style multiplayer was actually quite fun.

Oh nice, looks like a radial TBS with Valkrie Profile esque combat. Which is funny since the new DS Valkrie Profile is a TBS with combat sorta like that...

Shut up I missed this amongst all the TBS garbage and just saw it now. Not that anyone will see this. That's OK. I hope it comes out here.
