Look for the XBLA version of Darwinia 'early next year' photo

Darwinia+, the lovely Darwinia/Multiwinia bundle for Xbox LIVE Arcade, is expected by indie developer Introversion Software to be ready for release "early next year."

This was announced, of course, on Twitter. I swear, every single day we have multiple stories go up that are based on something that was tweeted. There's no escaping this madness!

Anyway, the studio says it's "just ironing out the last few bugs now." For whatever reason, I have played Multiwinia (pictured above), but not the previous installment Darwinia. It's nice to see something like this make it to XBLA.

Not simply due to the high quality present, but because it helps diversify the service.

Darwinia is a great indie game. I picked it up for ten bucks a few years ago and it was a lucky find.

That is fucking awesome. Darwinia was a great game and I'm glad to see it expand to new platforms.

Good news. They were apparently in financial straits because people are stupid and didn't buy Multiwinia. Glad to see them still around, and here's hoping that more people buy Darwinia (either on PC or XBLA) - it is absolutely incredible.

This game's graphical stlye never let my computer run it properly, so I'm excited to finally be able to give this game a go. Can't wait.

Darwinia was so awesome when it came out on STEAM. I might actually buy the XBLA version as well... *adds to list*

Can't wait, I almost forgot this was coming out. I'll be buying this on top of my Darwinia for PC for sure.

Darwinia is a much better experience then Multiwinia but Multiwinia is more fun to play I think. It's been a long time coming this port though.

I hated this game. The controls impeded gameplay rather than enhancing it.
