This is precisely what happens ALL THE TIME

Thanks to your efforts, the Mega64-sponsored indie studio Sarnotech was able to meet its Kickstarter goal of $350K. Unfortunately, progress on the potentially greatest game of all time, Sakred Diamonds, has ground to a halt due to unforeseen financial hiccups. Turns out 350 large really doesn't get you far in the high-stakes world of indie development.

You know what that means? Another Kickstarter! Sakred Diamonds is gonna happen come hell or high water!
