London MCM Expo attempts world record DS party

May 05 // Hollie Bennett

London plays host to the MCM Expo two times a year and this year is no different with the massive convention taking place at the EXCEL center on the May 29 and May 30. The MCM Expo is "... The UK’s answer to San Diego Comic Con" as the tens of thousands of people who pass through its doors every year get to experience hands-on with some of the newest videogame titles, check out comic books and the artists, meet and great celebrities, indulge in Sci-fi, manga, movies and cosplay.

Once again the MCM Expo will attempt to take another world record as last year saw it clinch the title for "The Largest Gathering of People in Costumes From a Video Game" This year, MCM Expo intends to break the record for the "Largest Handheld Game Console Party", currently held by Australia. MCM Expo encourages all attendees on the 29 of May to bring along any version of the Nintendo DS that they have with a chance to win prizes simply by taking part.

I will of course be in attendance, however, it is worth mentioning that I have a low tolerance of free hug signs and cat ears. While you're at it, check out the Dtoid UK group so you can meetup with other Dtoiders during the London MCM Expo.
