If you still haven't decided if you want to buy Modern Warfare 3 on PC, then get downloading as you've got until Monday to get in as much free multiplayer action as you can muster. To help sway you further, there's 33% knocked off the game's price.
I have to imagine having free mulitplayer weekends for games must help shift lots of extra copies, and a quick glance of the Top Sellers list on Steam shows MW3 in second spot just pipped by the newly released PC version of Alan Wake. I've enjoyed playing previous free weekends to discover new games like Dawn of War 2 and Killing Floor, but surely you all know what MW3 is gonna play like, right?
Still, it would be interesting to see why people are buying the game now. Is it the price drop that's swaying them now or is it gamers finally getting a big taste of the game's multiplayer action? Are any of you guys going to pick the game up now, despite the fact it's four months old and you will probably get slaughtered (okay, that might just be me)?

Sometimes a free weekend game won't be available for download for a short time after the announcement goes up on Steam, but it looks like it's ready now.
Just click on the MW3 banner in the Spotlight window. If it's showing AVA instead, just click "Next".

Halo's right. The only time Steam is good is when they have their sales. Any other time, Steam is one of the most expensive e-tailers to purchase from.
Do I have a Steam account; sure.
Do I love the taste of Steam's cock in my mouth like the rest of you worshipers; hell no.
Well I can't speak to the quality of MW3 vs Cod4, because I haven't played MW3 at all.
However, I have spent absolutely obscene amounts of time in Cod4's multiplayer mode (and mods). So, so good.
That game was worth every penny of the 50 bucks I spent on it, and then some.
