I really enjoyed this games, but I hated how you only found out the player characters motivation right at the end. It made the story completely redundant in terms of most of the actual game play. Kind of with they'd left the story out and just let it be ultra-violence all the way.
That would also have allowed them to leave out the embarrassingly under produced "cut scenes"
