[Mash Tactics airs Monday through Friday at 4p.m. Pacific on Dtoid.TV. Watch Rick 'King Foom' Olson play a variety of games, each day with its own theme. With a heavy focus on community and viewer interaction, you can be as much a part of the show as anything else.]
Yeesh, how do I even begin to explain Divinity: Dragon Commanderto someone that's never heard of it before? Well, let's start with the easy part first. The game has a jetpack wearing-dragon in it that you control, and an undead princess that you're able to marry if you can get on her good side. If that alone has you a bit curious, just wait until I try to explain what type of game this is. Really the best I can do is to tell you to imagine something that is one part RISK, one part real-time strategy, one part role-playing game, one part Panzer Dragoon, one part political sim, and one part collectible card game to boot. Well, something like that anyways.
If that sounds like a mess of styles that would never work together, trust me, I was thinking the same thing until I played Dragon Commander. While the various parts are nothing mind blowing on their own, everything comes together to form a truly entertaining and unique experience. This is one of those games that you really have to see in action for yourself to fully understand what it's all about, so be sure to come by and check it out tonight at Dtoid.TV!
