Microsoft has released another one of these high-quality live-action Halo: Reach trailers, this one entitled "Deliver Hope."

So here's the thing: this trailer doesn't make me more interested in playing Reach as much as it just gets me frustrated that Hollywood can't pull together a live-action Halo film. This slick, one-minute trailer packs plenty of action, and looks better than most big budget science fiction flicks hitting theaters today. So what's the hold up? Someone make this happen!

Halo: Reach is out September 14, and our own Halo nut Hamza Aziz just spent two straight days playing the thing at a review event in San Francisco. He's not allowed to give you the final word on Bungie's latest until September 11 at 11:00 PM PDT, but I haven't heard from him since Tuesday, so that's a good sign.

These Live Actions trailers are usually good, but this one gave me chills!

The only thing I always worry is that the moment it stops being 60 seconds long and jumps to 120 minutes all the flashy effects wont save what could end up being a real cliched crapfest.

I love how he turned his away after throwing the bomb at the end. As for me, if i was to die in a huge explosion, i would at least look at that shit.

@Patriot Snake: I thought that applies only when you survive the explosion?

Is that the old Noble 6, the one the player replaces? Kat having 2 arms makes it look like it.

Would it possible to link the accounts with the age gates so that we don't have to constantly re-enter them? PLEASE?

Don't know if this is either a mistake or intentional but as it fades from earth to the Reach title take a look in the left bottom corner. A tiny light moving along. Is that anything significant i.e. a guilty spark-esque tease? I'm probably looking at this in FAR too much detail. I'll be quiet now...

As for the video, never thought I'd see my self saying this, but it actually makes me interested in the Halo story.

I love these. But just because they can make awesome trailers doesn't mean it'll make a good movie unfortunatly. I for would prefer more live action ads and no movie.

@ Octopanda-
That's not earth. Reach falls some time before the covenant discover earths location.

I suppose at this moment it's somewhat debatable if it's reach (though i don't think it'd make sense not to be) but yeah, definitely not earth.

One of the bungie guys actually gave some perspective on the ad-

Malfegor; I'm guessing he thought he could make it out in time. I sure as hell would rather try running from the pretty explosion than looking at the pretty explosion thats going to kill me.

Shit yeah my bad... wasn't thinking. But what about that light moving in the left corner when the screen fades to the title at the end. Any ideas? Or am I [again] being a complete tard.

I like how I had to watch an ad for Reach...before watching an ad for Reach.

That aside, bonertown.

Meh. Didn't do anything for me. Reach still looks like it'll be a great game, though.

@octopanda: I'm not sure which light you mean, I can't really see one that's really moving. Could just be me though.

If the single player campaign has the same feel as these trailers, then it will be so F**KING AWESOME. Can't wait for September 14th!

@octopanda: I think it's just some kind of bug. A similar light goes off-screen just under that light, before the one you pointed out, during the fade-to-title thing. Could also be some kind of flying vehicle from the planet, though.

Props for the authenticity of the covenant shields as it was exploding from the inside. Nicely done, just like the books.

I see the light he's talking about, although it may just be an effect since there are a few others floating about on the bottom of the screen. You can see them easier if you d/l the video through the dashboard.

Also, I don't think he turns around to not watch the explosion. He clearly turns around to haul ass out of there. XD

Can't wait for the review. Really looking forward to hearing/seeing the new features mostly the customization and co-op stuff. Been regularly visiting Halo Waypoint in anticipation for Reach.

Very badly directed compared to the other commercials/live action - it's like they tried to put EVERYTHING into this short commercial, everything seeems too fast, without this important respect for pause and suspense.

Absolutely MEH, even though i adore the ad campaign for Halo 3.
