LittleBigPorn is a little big no no: Sony plans to moderate user content photo

In what perhaps qualifies as a Captain Obvious story, it has been announced that Sony will be moderating the user generated content in LittleBigPlanet to ensure that anything crass and sordid doesn't get through. That's a shame, as an abundance of genitalia is the best part of any user created content.

"We'll be moderating LittleBigPlanet's user-generated content in the same manner as we moderate all our online games," stated a Sony spokesperson. "A good example of this is My SingStar."

Well, poop. There goes my obnoxious plan to make cute woolen animals slide down gigantic veiny throbbing pork swords. I guess I'll have to content myself with making my initials "POO" in every arcade game I'll ever play. So witty. So, so witty.

im sure if your clever & a bit creative you can make a big nob & some balls out of the items in the game as one of the maps.... that sounds like a challenge to me!....

There's this great phrase in dev studios I was informed about several months ago: Time 'til cock. It refers to the predicted amount of time that will pass, once the title goes live, before someone manages to get a cock into the game somehow.

Pretty excited about this game, I think it has a lot of potential to bring creativity to the table. My pick for TTC would be 15-20 minutes from going live.

It did help me.

I'm still stoked for this game, yes I know creating huge cocks for your little characters to swing from is how some people deal with closet homosexuality, but its not like you didn't see this happening. The amount of user generated content that you will be able to get for this game will be staggering, not counting what the game comes shipped with.

Sometimes I think video games are not expensive enough. Because you'll have fucktards who will spend money on video games not to play them but simply to act like a dickwads in the face of other gamers. Like you know someone will spend all their time on LittleBigPlanet just for the chance to make people look at pictures of his little pee-pee.

You are correct, Sony could never do the job of patrolling all user created content, thats why it is going to be not only put on a few trusted moderators, but also up to the community to tell that something is amiss.
It is mostly community moderated.
