Final Fantasy X is my favorite game in the Final Fantasy series. Feel free to go into the comments and wail and moan about Final Fantasy VII and Cloud and Aerith and how stupid I am all you want; for me, FFX is as good as it gets. The soundtrack of Final Fantasy X is especially memorable, and so it's no surprise that this clever interpretation of the game's opening theme, "To Zanarkand", captured my heart in all of a millisecond.
Spotted on NeoGAF, this video was created by LittleBigPlanet user Kirathian, who certainly has a handle on using the best of LBP's creative options to his or her advantage. This beautiful revisitation to one of my favorite games genuinely made my day.
Okay, that is fucking cool. I want a PS3 now, which isn't cool. I am also now staring at my calendar waiting for Aprils concert in michigan. I think I can hate the next 6 months out of existence.
One of my old roommates learned to play that song on the piano. It's pretty neat that this could be done, but it'd be nice to be able to control the tempo. The song was a tad too fast, as I'm sure you're aware.
It also would have been cool to see some FFX-releated imagery in the background or something. No doubt, this is pretty cool, but it's nothing that somebody without the Internet and some time on his hands couldn't do.
That is very awesome, but while I love the song, I think X is the worst of the Final Fantasy games.
VI, XII and IV are the best in my eyes and 10 was an abomination, only made worse by the fact they made X-2.
At least you're still hot and have that going for you.
That was amazing, but... I wanna see what happens when you drag the box in reverse.
FFX wasn't my favorite, though I did like it quite a bit. The soundtrack ranks second in the series for me, only trumped by VIII. Eyes on Me may be lyrically cheesy, but it's a song that can bring me to tears (aside from the Animal Crossing mother story mixed with To Zanarkand). The X-2 soundtrack, however, reminds me of porno music.
Also, I loved FFX. It was my first serious jRPG that I finished to completion. 'To Zanarkand' is easily one of my favorite songs of all time. Honestly, this one track is more memorable than anything I can remember from 'FFXII.'
@dexter, i mean he could have made the boxes every so slightly bigger. he also could have slowed down the character a bit and just used the momentum of the box in the parts where it should have been slower. i don't think that you can't get it right with this game if you really wanted to, it would just take a lot longer...
VI is the best, and X is the black sheep of the Final Fantasys(lest we include the MMO and the spinoffs, in which case Tactics is the best and XI is the black sheep).
Anywho, I CANT WAIT FOR LITTLEBIGPLANET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, the piano sounds are very good! I wonder what other instruments will be at our disposal, will it be something like a midi soundset emulation.. And I really hope that you are able change the gravity of your levels.
FFX is rather special to me. It was not only my first turn-based RPG, it was also a game I was given to help me over the loss of my previous entire PS2 and GC game collection. I got sucked into it for what seemed like forever. Beating it was a sad day, indeed.
Then X-2 sucked. So I decided to go backwards, rather than forwards, and now currently finished FFIII and am working up to IV.
to Colette:
FFX is the worst game in the series (unless we count Mystic Quest). Its story is so melodramatic and psuedo-emo that it makes FF7 look like Lazytown, and its unbearably linear to the point where its follow one path to the end of the game. Heck by the time you get the airship and the game stops being linear, you only get to embark mainly in sidequests! And lets not mention the terrible fan service sequel.
Allow me to demonstrate the proper order of the FF hierarchy.
FF7 > FF6 > FF9 > FF4 > FF8 > *any order you want* >FFX
(Note: You can swap FF7 and FF6 around because they're the two best installments in the series, I just prefur 7 because I prefur sci-fi over fantasy)
But I like FFX, the only FFs that I really don't like is VIII and XI (not sure if that one even counts) other than that I thoroughly enjoy all of them. X-2 taking the bottom of that list (above 8 and 11).

Now that thats done. That was awesome, didn't know you could do shit like that.
Also, I wish I would have been quicker off the mark to get a beta code now. :(
and this was brilliant. I'm REALLY excited for this game, mostly because I'll have an outlet for my insanity.
I never even played through all of X. Maybe I should...
FF6 >>>>>>>> FF7
FFX = Crappy Voices + whiny Protagonist + Meg Ryan + Crappy Final Boss
@Ashley Davis: I love IX as well. *shrug*
To be honest after the 3 Black Mages boss fight (airship chase), it all went down hill.
VI, XII and IV are the best in my eyes and 10 was an abomination, only made worse by the fact they made X-2.

Ten is my favorite too, only thing that comes close is six.
My girlfriend <3's FFX as well, I enjoyed it a boot load more than X-2 that was...bad IMO.
Yep, 8 sucks.
til LBP.
LOVED X-2 though.
Isn't that weird?

tempted to buy a ps3 now.
Also, a bit too fast I think. Still awesome.
