LittleBigPlanet Trophies revealed, I foam at the mouth photo

I don’t think it’s possible for my anticipation for Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet to be any higher. Ever since the game was first announced at GDC 2007, I knew I had to have it. It’s the kind of game that is designed to foster the buildup of an entire community of Players, Creators, and Sharers around it, and it’s just so much damn fun to play that I don’t really see how anyone -- aside from “f*ck that kiddie sh*t” idiots who should shut up and go back to their FPSes -- can look at it without having at least a passing interest.

Anyway, that’s enough of me blathering on about the brilliance of LittleBigPlanet. Today, we’ve got the list of the game’s Trophies, courtesy of PS3Trophies.org (wouldn’t you know it, it’s the sister site of Xbox360Achievements.org). LittleBigPlanet features a total of 48 Trophies; four of them are “secret” Trophies.

Boy, I’m going to be pretty proud when I get the “Look what I made!” Trophy (A level you published was played by 5 or more people; Bronze). But I might not be able to hold back the tears of joy if I ever get the “Crowd Pleaser” Trophy (A level you published was played by 50 or more people; Silver). Which Trophies are you all looking forward to adding to your collection?

I cannot wait until October 21st.

[Via PS3Trophies.org -- thanks, Joe!]

I saw this yesterday, there's a great mix of trophies, but the ones you mention are going to be really hard to get, I think. I really hope I can make an excellent level!

Not really, if you have 5 friends on your friends list it should be simple. 50 a bit more harder though.

I have 14 people on my friends list, but none of them are ever on xD Maybe they will be when Little Big Planet is out.

Samit: I'm a 30 year old FPS/Survival Horror fanatic. I like MATURE content. Something that isn't afraid to present images and concepts that are confronting to adults. I like a game that doesn't patronise its audience, assuming we're all 14 year old rednecks with the attention span of a goldfish and the IQ of a brick. I like to walk away from a game contemplating the ideas it has presented, thriving on the tension that is absent from children's games.

And I absofuckinglutely can't wait for this game.

Dan CiTi: Couldn't agree more.

I keep re-reading the trophies. I'm like some hit starved junkie when it comes to LBP.

@faultymoose: That's great! My snide comment wasn't directed at people like you -- I love shooters (I own Resistance, Warhawk, Call of Duty 4, and The Orange Box on PS3), but I agree with all the sentiments you expressed. I want to be treated like an adult when I play a game, you know? But I also love stuff that brings out the kid in me -- I'm pumped for LBP as well as the upcoming current-gen Spyro game.

LBP sold me a PS3, I just got one beforehand so I could play Warhawk while I waited. And that ended up being a good decision too.

This is a great example of how to do trophies/ achievements. These all look fairly easy, yet fun and worthwhile to get.

"f*ck that kiddie sh*t” idiots who should shut up and go back to their FPSes"

I can't tell you how much I love this sentence. FPS peeps... everytime you headshot someone in gears of war... every time you teabag a downed spartan... somewhere on xbox live another trash talking ritalin fueled 12 year old spawns.

THIS GAME IS GOING TO OWN MY LIFE!!!!

With the little time I got to play it at PAX, I was instantly hooked in. Before that, I could give two shits about the game. Now I'm stoked.

Wow, trophies that I'll actually be able to get :D. They seem kind of like the Bioshock trophies where they help influence you to try more of what's in the game. Very cool.

Also I can't wait!! This will probably be the first game I ever pre-order, just so I can get the Kratos costume :P.
