Sony has finally nailed down the date -- November 16 -- for Media Molecule's epic sequel, LittleBigPlanet 2.
Also revealed were the requisite retailer-specific pre-order items. Go with Amazon, get six Sackboy costumes -- one of Ratchet, one of Clank, and four "Animal Costumes." Go with Best Buy, get an exclusive "Alien" from Toy Story 3 costume, along with four costumes from the "Even More Animals" pack. GameStop pre-order customers get another Disney-related exclusive, a Tron: Legacy Sackboy outfit, along with that "Even More Animals" pack.
Of course, there's also a collector's edition, and it looks pretty damned great. Retailing for $79.99, the package will come with a copy of the game, a 7" Sackboy plushy, "game ends" (book ends for your game boxes), and a ton of DLC (some of it exclusive to the collector's), detailed after the jump. If I HAD to pick, I'd go with the R&C package for two reasons:
1. Two character costumes, not one.
2. Tax-free purchase. When you live in California, a $60 game turns into $66. Every little bit helps.
Lots of DLC, and the bookends and sackboy! all for 20 bucks more? I'm in!
But plushy has changed my mind, will be preordering soon.
I've been looking for wicked bookends and shitballs, here they are!
Now, the real question is Amazon vs. Gamestop...

You don't have to pick between bonuses. If you're getting the Collector's Edition, you get all the preorder DLC (plus a few extra costumes), which is the way it should be done for every CE from here on out, IMO.
I am gonna go flat fucking broke this fall...
