LittleBigBullsh*t: LBP is delayed in Europe photo

Europeans, rejoice! LittleBigPlanet has been delayed for the PAL territories with no reason given. Aren't you all simply delighted?

Neither a reason nor a new release date have been given, but estimates are putting the delay at up to three weeks with a November 14 release. This could change, and Sony is expected to have official word on the situation soon.

The game was scheduled to launch only a week from now on October 24. For those who were looking forward to the eagerly awaited game, this is incredibly disappointing news. Hopefully Sony has a good explanation, although I honestly can't think of one myself.

You know what? I went to a cash machine on my lunch break today and only had about 25 quid. I am kind of happy about having to wait until after payday.

When it comes to games, especially from Sony, Europe looks to be treated like the redheaded stepchild.

@MrSadistic:

If that's the case, why is it only delayed in Europe? Unless if the EU and US soundtracks are different. In that case...

...fuck, does that mean we have to wait a few extra weeks for Takeshi to get online? Goddammit, Takeshi.

O_o....I thought this was just a retailing error. Zavvi was saying that it had been delayed but then they sent out emails to their pre-order customers that it was a computer error and that it was still set for the 24th.

However, now it seems that SCEE is issuing a statement to confirm this? How utterly strange. I wonder what happened....problems with the bundles?

Another blog is stating that there is music set to words from the quran, and that is for whatever reason very offensive to durka durka.

I'm starting to notice a pattern here. Europe getting shafted time after time and some American posters rubbing it in their faces for no apparent reason.

I am from the UK and I have the game (Since Tuesday) and have been playing it.

Does not affect me :p

TBH, I have already completed story mode and am just going back collecting all the single player items I have missed.

Then I shall be back to some heavy creating to upload when the servers go live.

P.S. F*ck the Qur'an. Actualy, to keep things none biased..... Also F*ck the bible too and all other religous brainwashing, fear mongering, Blackmailing, murdering, out dated, fantasy for the mentaly disturbed religions (THAT MEANS all RELIGION). Without religion there would be less war and violence, it is a man made tool of destruction. Anyone religous is simply a stupid c*nt.

Just so you do not think I'm a mad man.......

Sony just issued a statement on the matter:

During the review process prior to the release of LittleBigPlanet, it has been brought to our attention that one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur’an. We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologise for any offence that this may have caused.

We’ll confirm the new launch date shortly.

If the said song is problematic in Europe, why wouldn't it be a problem in North America too?

That's a lot later than I thought it would be.
Sorry, EU, that does suck.

Woo, surprise surprise, Muslims got offended by something. Again.

Seriously, because it had quotes from the Quran in it? I guess I should get all up in arms the next time Family guy cracks a Jesus joke and demand Fox pull it from the air. Oh, wait, I wouldn't do that because I'm not crazy. Do I find it offensive? yeah, but I don't punish everyone else around me because of it. I turn the damn channel.

To those who find it offensive? Don't buy the game. Seriously, keep your politically correct bullshit out of my games.

As fucking furious I am, I think people should not be quick to blame other religions, or any religions, and blame society for being so fucking sensitive to every little thing. Fuck all of that, fuck it. The Qu'ran is a holy book, and holy books talk about crazy shit, world destruction, and death,who the fuck cares if someone used a line from it (and spoken in another language) This is a huge embarrassment for the human society.

@Video Cognito

That's it???? You're not going to make grounds for your claim? Don't call the kettle black if you're the pot unless you really aren't the pot (in that case expound on your comment.)

While I'm not surprised, it is a dissapointment that people have taken to actually despising and insulting Muslims as a result. Remember Islam itself isn't the problem but the way people try to control the image we have of it is problematic.

The most fantastic thing about this is the fact, Sony announced that LBP will be released in Europe first at this year's Games Convention in Leipzig...
