LittleBig Busters: confirmed for US release this week! photo

With all the Ghostbusters excitement back up these days thanks to the release of the game, it was no surprise to us when we started to see teasers for possible Ghostbusters costumes in LittleBigPlanet. We've also seen some other pictures that show off all the characters, but today Playstation Blog confirmed that the characters will be out in the US this week.

As usual, you can pick up the individual costumes for $1.99 each or the four costume pack for $5.99. Then you can cue up the ubiquitous theme song by Ray Parker Jr. and jam along as you run around with your cute new sackboys. I think my favorite is the white one modeled after the Ghostbusters logo, but I have to admit that Slimer head is a close, close second. Hell, they're all cute. Are you going to grab them?

Seriously, Sony? First the PlayStation exclusivity for Ghostbusters in the UK, then the PS Home Ghostbusters space, now they whore out LBP as even further Advertising. Seriously, Sony is taking the whole "We own the Ghostbusters IP" thing a little to far.

@RonTheDawn Yeah, that's usually how business works. If you got it, flaunt it.

That slimer and stay-puft are both incredibly epic.

Awesome, yes. Worth $2 each (or $6 for a pack)... guess that depends on your gaming budget.

I'm kind of tempted to pick these up. It's about time I play a little LBP anyway... and made actually finish the game.

I'm still morally opposed the idea of charging money for these things, and yes I think $2/each or $6/pack is too much.

That being said, YES, I will buy these. My principles are EASILY swayed by things I like, especially when they're ADORABLE.

As cute as they are for $6 I'm not that sure. If it was a level pack...hell yes I'd get it, but this I'll most likely pass on. And that's coming from a ghostbuster fan.

* A level pack about Ghostbusters would be the most amazing news. We done with costumes. Yeah, itīs good ghostbusters theme costumes, but ghostbusters levels, thatīs what we really want.
