DotEmu announced today that they'll be bringing the classic French adventure Little Big Adventure to iOS and Android devices on March 27.
Celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year, the game follows Twinsun, a young man imprisoned for prophetic dreams by the dictatorial leader of his island home, who must discover his destiny and save his world. It's a fascinating game, filled with great music and a graphical style that made the most of early 3D polygons to produce something that looks unique and fun.
The original game has some challenging controls that take a fair bit of getting used to, which I would be doubly concerned about in a mobile release. The trailer does show some modern innovations, such as a hotspot system to identify interactive objects, so there's some hope that this will turn out decent. If not, the original is always on GOG.com.
