List of all the anime on the PlayStation Network photo

You guys like anime, don't you? Well, we do over at sister site Japanator. One day I'll be able to flip on a box, flip through a menu and watch whatever anime I want instantly. My PC connected to my TV does that in a way, as does my PS3. Both are excellent solutions, but it's kind of difficult to know what is available through these newfangled online services.

Sony sent us a list of which anime series are currently available for download on the PlayStation Network. That was nice of them. It's even separated by company. Old stuff is mixed with brand new stuff, and a few turds are scattered in the mostly good offerings. I can't complain -- the future is here, mostly. Dude, they even have Voltron. You can watch anime by hitting a button. Dreams are coming true.

Hit the jump for the full list. Sony says that the bolded titles are newer/featured titles.

WTF NO EUREKA 7?

@Bullet: Some of the unreleased Anime should have subs, I know that Xam'd had subtitles way back when Sony made a big deal out of it.

I was thinking about this a little while back, although I didn't realize how big the library was. I guess I've got some good material to pick up. (I've only just started really watching anime)

Wow it's not so much about what they have but what they don't have and. Teh horribly mangled versions tha they do have are beyond awful.
Rave Master is so awful compared to Groove Adventure Rave which I saw subbed a long time ago.
The list is endless but I'll be these are all butchered and edited versions. They killed Crayon Shin Chan to the poit where it's painful to watch.
I used to get a kick of of Atashi n' Chi, thankfully they haven't mangled that one.
Abenobashi Mahou Shotengai would rock out loud as well if they had that subbed!

What, no One Piece on PSN to complete the Bleach/Naruto/One Piece Shonen Jump trifecta?? You break my heart Funimation, you break my heart. I'll probably look into Speed Grapher since I told myself I was going to sit down and finish watching the series...3 years ago. Also, I can't get enough Ghost in the Shell.

@NostalGeek

Not necessarily. If the series is short, you could save at least $10-20. Personally, I prefer physical media with my anime and games. I love having my entertainment on shelves and lending it to friends.

Some days some nights, some live some die in the way of the Samurai, some fight some bleed, sun up to sun down the sons of a battle cry.

Samurai Champloo > Afro Samurai

Yeah, almost none of the anime on Playstation network has the option for Japanese language and English subtitles. Until they fix this and also allow me to buy an entire season at once for a reduced price (like Amazon), there is just no way that I'm buying any of this stuff. That said, if they fix these two key problems, then I'm in.
Another BS restriction is you can't re-download any videos from the Playstation store. At least Microsoft had that part figured out years ago.
