Lips October DLC revealed, dated, totally awesome photo

Lips. It’s a Microsoft-published karaoke videogame. The object of the videogame is to blow into a glowing microphone while a real song plays in the background. More air equals more points. Earned points can then be used to buy Galaxies, Super Novas, and rights to Depeche Mode singles. But players don’t have to unlock every song -- the videogame has an Xbox LIVE Marketplace tab with downloadable music for sale. Microsoft updates this list with fresh artists every once in a while, and according to the latest Lips press release, will continue to do so through October.

Popular Jazz band En Vogue and pop culture success Deep Blue Something have contributed songs to Lips this afternoon. On October 9th, Duncan Sheiks’ “Barely Breathing,” and Erasure’s “Always” will also appear. In fact, every Friday this month will bring new downloadable goodies to the game. Hit the break for the full list, but prepare yourself, these songs are f’ing stellar. Available on Oct 2:
My Lovin' (You’re Never Gonna Get It) – En Vogue
Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Deep Blue Something

Available on Oct 9:
Barely Breathing – Duncan Sheik
Always – Erasure

Available on Oct 16:
Chains of Love – Erasure
Return of The Mack – Mark Morrison
Lucky – Jason Mraz feat. Colbie Caillat

Available on Oct 23:
Baby Love – The Supremes
Stop! In The Name of Love – The Supremes
You Can’t Hurry Love – The Supremes
The Supremes Song Pack – Includes Baby Love, Stop! In The Name Of Love and You Can’t Hurry Love

I’ll Stand By You – The Pretenders
Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You – Glenn Medeiros

This list can't be correct. None of these songs are by ELO!

Doesn't anyone want to win the console and/or music game war?!?!

@hpv: ABSOLUTELY. Seriously, how freakin' hard is it for one of these games (Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Karaoke Revolution, SingStar, etc.) to get some ELO? Is the band vehemently opposed to having their songs in these games, or has no devloper yet considered using their songs?

All these years I have to just sing along to my ELO - Out of the blue (transparent vinyl edition) and not one game helps me keep score of how bad I'm doing.

En Vogue is Jazz?! LOL and all these years where me and everybody called them R&B/Soul/Pop must have been completely wrong (along with NOT having amazing vocals compared today's so-called singers).

/sarcasm

I'm glad to see you guys are reporting this now. I actually considered doing a weekly post on the Cblogs, since we get weekly posts about Rock Band DLC, and this actually does update weekly as well, rather than "every once in awhile."
