Our own Joe Burling was a little distressed by this commercial for the upcoming Microsoft karaoke game Lips, but I had quite the opposite reaction -- I found it pretty hilarious, in that way that utterly ridiculous things sometimes are. The part on the bus is what really got me. Sure, it might be a pair of lips with feet and therefore an abomination on God's green earth, but it seems so ... happy!

I'm stoked for this game, as I love any excuse to get drunk and wail into a microphone (actually, drunk is not even necessary -- I love to sing). Pair me with with Chad Concelmo for a duet, and there's nothing more I can ask for in life.

that cracked me up, especially when the pair of lips is on the bus!

It was pretty funny, but I don't see me buying the game anytime soon.

pretty hilarious. Yeah, the bus scene is a bunch of seconds long but it causes long hours of laughs and happiness :P

Best commercial for Karaoke game??? Let's see what Sony has for SingStar.

Joe was distressed by this? Funny - by now he should be used to lips that have been around the block...

If it had been any other song I'd have found it creepy, but I love me some Take On Me.

It was ok, nothing stood out as being great to me.
The thing I thought was funny is when you hear the kid singing along as it's pretty weak, I lol'd

It's almost creepy, but because it's singing "Take On Me," it immediately crosses into awesomeness.

@ MisterMingo:

That is the greatest thing ever.

I thought it was hilarious - especially since it was singing "Take On Me." More music games need that song.

I was hoping a car would run over it on the highway. Shame!

Ok..creepy! All I can think about now is parasitic lips that latch onto people and make them sing karaoke mercilessly.

Eugh.

Hah that video is cool. The girlfriend will probably buy this game so I guess I will HAVE to sing Take on Me.... not like I would enjoy it or anything...... >_>
