Lionhead promising 'big' Fable II news next week photo

Oh Lionhead, you sultry tease! The British developer is promising some good news for Fable II players next week, but is spilling no details.

"Normally, we don't like to tease too much," claims Lionhead's developer blog. "You know, all this hype being generated by teasing the announcement that there will be an announcement in X-number of days. Who cares? But in this day and age where a gazillion titles are asking for your attention, I felt it might be the right thing to do on the blog.

"We've got some G o o d [Good] news for all Fable II fans next week, dare I even say it's quite a big announcement? Yes of course I dare say it's a big announcement regarding Fable II, next week!"

Fable II already has an option on its menu screen for downloadable content, so one would be reasonable to assume that the big announcement regards some new DLC. Maybe some weapon skins and a new Rig!? We can only hope.

Man, I was sooo looking forward to Fable 2 as I loved the first one, but man, it has easily been one of the most disappointing games I've played.

I love the game, and this sounds great and all... but...

I'm still waiting to receive the download code that was supposed to be packed in with the LE version I spent the extra cash on. Since I already finished the main quest the other day, this is not cool. FAIL

yeah because of the mixup, all you have to do is sign into your live account on the xbox live/fable website and they send you a code - you dont have to have purchased the legendary edition...

Hopefully it's a DLC expansion pack, but even if it's just something little like extra clothes, side quests or bug fixes, I'll be happy.

I believe its DLC I mean doesn't anybody else think that the way Theresa said what she said about the spire, and how the end just happened as it did, it felt like to me they might add more and you might have to take some action.... I'm telling you the fight is not over!!!!!!

A replacement dog would be nice, i am ticked that Lucien did that to my family and my Dog, Mere words cannot describe my utter discontent with him.... Jerk

Not sure why everybody hates it so much...I mean yeah it has some glitches and the multiplayer is horribly implemented but regardless, it's a fun game to play.

Didn't Molyneux say that you would be able to watch your child grow and fight alongside them? Probably just the usual "over-hype under-deliver" Pete that we all know and love, but wouldn't it be grand if that's what the DLC was?

***SPOILERS***

My real guess, hopefully some quests where you go help the other heroes. The way they all split up at the end of the story left me feeling like there should be 3 new quests waiting for me after the credits, but alas I was thoroughly disappointed.

I predict it will be different species of dog and more clothes. I'm pretty sure PM indicated there would be different kinds of dog in an interview.

@Everyone

Don't misunderstand me, I really like Fable. Honest. It's just that the game feels a little unfinished. Like they purposely held things back. Aside from the abrupt and anti climatic ending, even simple things like the choice of weapons and relationships and even the quests felt like something was lacking.

Maybe that's just me, but I really do look forward to the oh-so-obvious expansion.

Apparently, in the game's original build, when you died in combat, your actual character would permanently die and instead would be replaced by his/her child (albeit as a grown up). It was altered after testing though, as Lionhead found that the players wasted time by trying to 'stock up' on children to act as a backup plan.

A chance to kill that fucking son of a bitch Reaver. Honestly, that guy killed Barnum, he was an ass, and he stole my revenge by killing Lucien! I have never hated anyone as much as Reaver (only Lucien comes close, im sure you all know why... :( ). Which im actually impressed about, i think Lionhead and Molyneaux did a good job there.
