Linkin Park, Mastadon and The Used coming to Guitar Hero III photo

This is my favorite story because it's about DLC for a game I don't play coming from bands I don't listen to. Nevertheless, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is getting some new downloadable content for the holidays. Seriously though, what's a Linkin Park? They're that band for emos, right?

On the subject of emos, go check out Emo Corner. It's a forum for people with fake depression to talk about how floppy their hair is and pretend to be bisexual. This is probably the best quote on the whole damn forum:

"im 16
i started cuting when i was 13
ive tried killing myself twice
once i almost succeded"

I wanted so badly to join and reply to that with "Achievement unlocked -- once almost succeeded at failing life." Emo kids are terrific, especially because you think people exaggerate just how bad they are, but then you find their little online rat's nests and see that, no, they're actually EXACTLY how others portray them, just with no hint of irony. These are the kind of people I want to buy goth claws for -- not for them to wear, but for me to wear so I can slap them in their androgynous faces with my big metal griffon paws. Yeah, xXRavenwingDoomcloudXx won't be so pretty after that.

What were we talking about? Oh yes, new DLC is coming to Guitar Hero III, and you can check the official, non-emo press release after the jump. I copied and pasted it, because that's what we talentless, pseudo-journalist "blogger scumbags" do (Protip: Putting "pseudo" before words is the ultimate insult).

Only one Mastadon song and it's not "March of the Fire Ants"? That really sucks.

Linkin Park is ok; decent music, decent singing, but overall they are a little shallow. I never figured out why with most people they are so Polarizing in that half absolutely hate them and bash them, while the other half love them and think they can do no wrong.

I liked Hybrid Theory and thought Meteora was very good, but Linkin Park’s latest album blows. I especially can’t stand that awful “Bleed It Out” song. [i]Rock Band [/]DLC FTW!

Well, if you were a real journalist, you’d know that it’s “pseudo” and not “psuedo”. Gosh...

What the fuck, why does everyone like the Rock Band song list? The Rock Band song list sucks and is one of the main reasons I haven't bought it. I have decided that I will not buy Rock Band unless they add a song from Lamb of God, Dream Theater, or Gojira, since any song from those bands would have superior drumming everything on there with the exception of maybe Rush. At least GH3 has Slayer, and In Flames, which are actual bands as opposed to crap like Soundgarden.

I liked Hybrid Theory and thought Meteora was very good, but Linkin Park’s latest album blows. I especially can’t stand that awful “Bleed It Out” song. Rock Band DLC FTW! (I just made my first purchase yesterday: “Roxanne” by The Police)

You've got to be fucking kidding me. Linkin Park and The Used? While Rock Band has The Clash and The Buzzcocks as it's newest downloads, Guitar Hero gets Linkin Park, more European bands nobody cares about, and a free holiday classic! And nice job fixing quick matches, Activision. It only took you two months to figure out how to allow people to play online without hosting and waiting 3 minutes.

I like Linkin Park. Their older stuff was refreshingly different and good and their new stuff is, I believe, a step in a awesome new direction. So shoot me.

Also, am I the only one who is disappointed that they haven't added Jimmy Eat World's 'Big Casino' single? Hell, Bleed American would also be awesome.

(Am I going to get flamed now oh god please save me.)

I like these bands, but these aren't good selections... One more reason I never put GH3 in my console I guess...

Jim, I usually like you writing style and opinions but on this one you have just shown yourself to be a prat who joins the majority of society by going with the general opinion off "emos" and think it's funny to try to take the piss when clearly you know nothing about them or music.
None of these bands are "emo's" as you call them and I suggest you look up the meaning of the word and its history before posting stereotypical crap as "news"
