What more needs to be said? If you own a Wii, one of the greatest games of the 16-bit era, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, will only cost you $8 (800 points in Wii currency).
Other games that are set to hit the Virtual Console today are Comix Zone, Bonanza Bros., and Gain Ground; all of which are Sega Genesis titles, and will also cost $8 a piece. But really, who cares? Link to the Past!

That said, I'm with Toneman. I've got it for GBA, AND I've got a Game Boy Player, AND my GameCube is still hooked up. But then, I might buy this anyway, because I do have an extra 800 Wii Points just waiting to be used...
For me, after the original one, the hallmark of every Zelda game is a significant change in the story about halfway through. Twilight Princess' obviously has it's moment, and it's there, it's just not as significant as in other Zelda games. I like TP better than the others though because the world is so much more fully realized than in the past. Which is an unfortunate side effect of technology. If OoT was remade completely for the Wii, that'd be my favorite hands down in all respects.

How come no NES games today, ssly, they have enough games for that system and SNES alone to release one per day for years. Zelda or no Zelda, the releases are inconsistent and kill any enthusiasm i once had for the VC. i have 5 bucks sitting in my Wii account, nintendo you took my money the least you can do is return the favor by releasing an NES game weekly and at least this way theres a shread of hope i'll acually be able to buy somthing with it
