Limbo, other 'Summer of Arcade' games dated photo

We reported on the release date for Castlevania: Harmony of Despair earlier today, and now we have dates for the remaining 2010 "Summer of Arcade" titles. They put Limbo first in line! Hooray!

As revealed during E3, all games are priced at $15 each. For once, I think every title warrants it. Also returning from previous years is the ability to get money back for buying these games during the promotional phase.

Purchasing three of the aforementioned Xbox LIVE Arcade games gets you $5 back, while downloading every last one earns you $15. That's literally all the convincing I need to grab the entire line-up. Which, if any, are you planning to get?

I'm totally getting Limbo. I love how that game looks. Monday Night Combat seems interesting but since I'm not even all that familiar/good at Team Fortress 2 (ask several of the bloggers here) I think that'll be something that if I do pick up it'll be I'm the distant future.

The industry hypes up another artsy fartsy indie game.

Looks like a shallow platformer.

@Infamy: But if you buy 'em all, you get $15 back in Microsoft Points!!

So far Limbo is the only for-sure purchase for me. I'm interested in Castlevania, but the rest of those games will have to try a little bit harder to impress me.

EFF yes! I figured Limbo would be like an August release, but instead they put it first and put that friggin' Tomb Raider game in the back. I love it when publishers get it right!

Castlevania is a must. Not completely sold on Limbo yet. Sure, it's nice, but...I've played about a *nice* experimental platformer every week, for free, on my PC. Sure, it's longer than those games, and you can die gruesomely, but...it's like P.B. Winterbottom. What does this have over a flash platformer, besides a 15$ price tag. Winterbottom had...a jokey coat of paint.

Ideas aren't enough, anymore. Ideas are everywhere, for free. The idea has to be done to perfection. And I don't know if I see it.

Getting them all. The $15 back negates the fact that I have no idea what Monday Night Combat is.

With any luck, my Xbox will be back from it's RRoD vacation just in time for Limbo. Fingers crossed.

I'm sure I'll get Limbo, Castlevania, and Monday Night Combat, so I can snag the $5 back. Three games for $40 isn't bad. Five games for $60 is nice too, but I don't particularly want the other two.

Limbo looks fantastic. Buying that first day, going to wait until night to play it with the lights off and spook the crap out of myself.
I'm sad no Shank or Adventures of Captain Smiley on here. Ah well, the rest look pretty good.

Nowadays it doesn't worth buying an arcade game at the release. Just wait, their prices will drop some time, maybe in a couple of months. In the meantime, keep an eye on the "deals of the week".

@Shulamm: It's definitely out of the ordinary when a DL game goes on sale. More often than not, you'll be waiting a lonnnnnnng time.

This looks like a pretty good line-up. The fact that you can get money back is great, seeing as how you'll be paying more for these games.
Something about that new Hydro Thunder, though...it just doesn't look as quite as awesome as the first one. Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised.
Also, obligatory Limbo love. The atmosphere looks amazing; it beter not turn out to be a shitty platformer.
