Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

Limbo of the Lost Day continues with this little gem uncovered by the NeoGAF Matlocks -- a teaser for a behind-the-scenes movie all about everyone's favorite PC copyright theft -- Limbo of the Lost!

This movie promises such advanced features as lighting and lip synching, as well as realistic skin and bone. Atmospheric music and devious puzzles are also promised, as well as a link to the official site ... which happens to be hosted by GeoCities.

This had to have been a scam if it wasn't a prank. They must have managed to convince some poor git to invest money in the game's development, only to spend the money on cocaine, rip a load of assets from other games and then sod off to France before anybody caught them.

This video is brilliant, as is everything concerning this game.

THAT'S WINDOWS FUCKING MOVIE MAKER!
I was expecting to see "Unregistered Hypercam 2" in the corner throughout the entire video.

This has got to be some kind of scam. I wouldn't be shocked if I saw Frank Abignails name in the credits somewhere. To boylie; yes, I saw that too. It turns out a character in "Limbo of the Lost" (redundant title) is actually named Cranny Faggot. Wtf is cranny?

Actually, Cranny Faggot is referring to something British that none of us outside of Jolly Ol' England would understand.

Fanny Cradock'
God this just gets better with every minute that passes. Apparently they added Conan to the list of things that got ripped off, but this time, ripped off via the concept art. What the fuck...

I particularly love the "dynamic shadow" demonstration that consists entirely of undynamic still frames mostly showing the shadows pointing towards the source of light.

Sure, this is amateurish... compared to the multi-million dollar budget games we're all used to buying.

It's pretty obvious this is a small, "indie" developed game, the type of project that people pour their hearts into. I would give big kudos to them... Except they stole stuff. And now everyone hates them.

Makes me wonder though. The guy in charge of architecture decided to steal assets, and basically destroyed the whole project. And now the sound guy, graphics guy, writer, etc. just had all their work ruined. Sucks.

Oh, also... it's a 2d point and click adventure game. The characters are all 3d models, but the backgrounds are all 2d still images. They basically went through a bunch of games and hit PrtScr a lot. Not exactly pouring their hearts out. Perhaps other peoples' hearts though.

Ah, point taken. With a team that small, it's hard to believe all of them weren't aware of what was being done. Boo.

Realistic shadows? By "realistic" they mean "always casts behind the player despite where the lightsource is".
