Eletronic Arts has announced that it will be bringing the adorable little MySims back to Nintendo's platforms with MySims Kingdom for the Nintendo DS and Wii.

In what appears to be a story-based The Sims title, MySims Kingdom puts players to task with helping King Roland build up "the Kingdom" and bring it back to its former glory. The game will feature all of the customization you'd expect from the franchise, in addition to a new set of characters including Princess Butter, which I'm pretty sure was an adult film I saw in high school.

MySims Kindgom will be available this fall. Check the fancy fact sheet after the jump.

Why do I get the feeling they stole the "concept" from My Life as a King, the WiiWare FF game?

This game looks cutesy, silly, and kiddy... yet the more I read about it the more I think I'd actually enjoy this. I don't know why, it just strikes me as one of those games I would initially scoff at until I actually tried it and get hooked for a good week or two.

@EDS

Don't forget King's Story (formerly Project O).

I'm gonna die from cute kinglyness(but probably from King's Story, it looks the most promising)!

MySims was charming and well put together, but as shallow as a petri dish.

Once you get bored of assembling things with simplified Lego (yes, simplified!), there's not much else to do save shake some trees, dig up treasure, and be happy.

It annoys me that even Sims2 on the DS had more depth than this game, and Animal Crossing DS pisses all over both of them, using a fraction of the space.

Why do they feel the need to dumb down games? The kids? Who says games need to be dumbed down for kids? Kids are smart, I grew up with Elite, for Christ's sake!
