Today, Kerberos Studios has announced that its action/RPG title Fort Zombie for the PC would be available on October 30, just in time for Halloween.
Not being one of the many are like, so over zombies, this had me excited. Fort Zombie has players preparing for an impending zombie attack by gathering weapons, food, and fuel, while finding a place to hole yourself up. Basically, an apocalypse simulator/trailer.
Then I watched the trailer and I have to admit, I'm less enthusiastic. Still, it's only $9.99 and will be available on all matter of digital distribution channels, so maybe the quality and the price go hand-in-hand. Of course, playing the game could be a hell of a lot more fun than watching it. But with the already packed holiday season, who's going to be willing to take that chance?
I wish they had something like this but with demons or some monsters variant other than slow ass zombies i'm really hating the trend now. something that runs after you and cast spells anything.... blow up a house or something just randomness
I love zombies and have so much stuff related to zombies but this video made me embarrassed for whoever made it. There was no CGI or anything to make the game look better than it actually is that was all in game, 10 fps action so you have to give em props for showing us what $10 can really buy you.
I would save my $10 and throw loonies into a wishing well before I bought this.
Maybe I shouldn't have been so soft on it......lol
This ...this is a trailer that they actually authorised to advertise their game...?
This has completely and entirely turned me off wanting the game. If you can't produce a trailer that doesn't lag and jump around...what chance do you have of making a game that functions.
Dude, I guess I can't make any calls on this until it's played, but was this made on a debug N64 or something? This is the ugliest game I've seen for PC in a long while. I agree with SpiralViper, this is just another attempt to cash-in on gaming's latest fad (Still getting the good ones, though: L4D2 and DR2).
I fucking love the idea of an RPG, that's what I'm talking about when I say we haven't seen everything zombie related. Unfortunately this game looks like shit.
Damn. One of my favorite aspects of Zombie Master is building up defenses on certain maps. I'd really like to see a good game that takes the concept to a higher level.
Unless you've been spoiled by graphics of this generation, who cares what it looks like?................ Of course I'm just saying this because it looks like a game that even MY PC can handle, which is kinda sad nowadays. But still kinda happy that there are SOME current games that my computer can still run. The game looks good gameplay wise and had my interested up until the whole zombie with guns thing. Then I just lost interest cause just no, you don't give a zombie a damn gun. It's just not right
Fail. As much as I like zombies (Zombieland being one of my all time favourite films now) I hate this Halloween cash-in crap that always comes out. The only worthy zombie games coming out now is Left 4 Dead 2.
Tell you the truth, i was hoping this would be something similar to vampire masquerade bloodlines in the zombie genre. However, after seeing this footage, I know I don't want this.
In any case, there is more or less a baseline for games like this now days. I understand folks commenting about "oh give it a break for the visual..." but I believe that this gen's baseline graphic for FPS is more or less the half-life 2. Any game in this genre should exceed or meet the baseline visual. I really hope this is the early mock up build to sell the concept rather than semi-alpha version.
I haven't seen a game that low quality in quite a while, kudos publisher, you win the I eat shit for breakfast then make a game with what i crap out award. (It's a real award, don't doubt me)
