In Germany two different online stores list a Kinect Lightsaber peripheral for Kinect Star Wars. What happened to "You Are The Controller" there, Microsoft? What about your controller-free future?

Before we get to far it should be said that we're not sure what to make of this yet. Amazon Germany lists a November 17 release date for the Lightsaber. Too bad there's no pictures. Another German online shop, Promediama, lists the same thing for about the same price. Eurogamer says that the sabers include light effects but no batteries.

Will the Kinect even 'see' this Lightsaber? If it will, save some cash and just get a sawed off broomstick instead.

Next Star Wars: The Old Republic update will let you build homes

Electronic Arts reveals new DICE Star Wars Battlefront project

EA kicked off their E3 2014 press conference off right, with a reveal for Star Wars Battlefront. The project has been hinted at for quite a while, and now we have final confirmation that it's happening. DICE noted that they had a chance to visit Lucas Archives and capture footage with the original props and models. More info will come in Spring 2015. For now, just sit and salivate.more
