Leviathan Warships adds 'Jazz Mode' patch

9:00 PM on 06.12.2013

I absolutely love it when games add crazy things that are completely unnecessary and utterly amusing. Paradox have decided to add a "Jazz Mode" to Leviathan: Warships, a game that doesn't actually have anything to do with jazz. This new mode adds actual smooth jazz music and a narration from Jazz Boatman, whose voice you can hear in the trailer.

This is a trend I can support. First, Paradox added the voice of Brian Blessed to War of the Roses, and now this. While this update is free, I would pay a few bucks to have an alternate audio track for a game I love. Imagine having H. Jon Benjamin voicing a character in your favorite game?

You're gonna ship yourself over Leviathan: Warships

Okay Paradox, nice job with this trailer. It did its job, as made me pay attention and even write about Leviathan: Warships on Dtoid. Not that we haven't written about it before. In fact our own Fraser Brown went hands-on wi...more

Preview: Leviathan: Warships had me go down with the ship

I'm such a big fan of nautical combat that I continued to play Assassin's Creed III -- a game that bored me beyond belief within the first two hours -- just for the ship missions. So when Leviathan: Warships was announced jus...more

Conflicks has a great alternate history setup with anachronistic space colonialism

Did you know that Leonardo da Vinci discovered MetaMatter? Well, not in real life, but in the universe of Conflicks he did. It turns out all it takes is to separate a chicken egg's yolk from its albumen, and to heat up the y...more

Frozen Endzone, the tactical robo-sport from the developers of Frozen Synapse, has officially been renamed. The new name is Frozen Cortex, and I've taken the liberty of making a new logo for it. The rename is taking place bec...more

Review: Squids Odyssey

Splatoon might be getting a lot of hype for Wii U squid battling, but it is not the first game featuring a squid squad to grace the console. Earlier this year, Squids made its jump from iOS to the Wii U with Squids Odyssey, a...more
