My desire to play Transformers: War for Cybertron gets a big ol' boost every time one of these videos gets pushed out the door; this latest behind-the-scenes video is probably the worst offender yet. I am more immensely curious about the quality of this title than any other unreleased game out there.
"Hasbro has been fantastic to work with. What they've allowed us to do is take a licensed property and treat it like a brand new IP," says game director Matt Tieger from High Moon Studios. With statements like this being thrown around, it's hard not to anticipate War for Cybertron.
Besides hoping that it turns out to be the Transformersgame we have all been waiting for much like Arkam Asylum was the Batman game we had been waiting our entire lives for, I don't know what to do. So, I guess I'll continue rewatching the new Keyboard Cat video. He's hitting the drum with his paw!
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Why all this Michael bay hate? The transformer movies we're good and I've seen tons of other movies with more explosions....it's no big deal. And yes I watched the old series and even beast wars.
First Batman Arkham Asylum, now it possible to have another comic/movie/cartoon licensed game to be a game of the year contender...well atleast from the look of the trailers.
this looks pretty cool but I'm not going to keep high hopes for it. Once i play a demo ill decide from there. I do hope it does go the route of Arkham Asylum totally kicking butt
Somehow I wish that Criterion was doing this but it looks pretty good. Gears of War with vehicle modes sounds like a decent idea and exploring cybertron ought to be fun.
Also, ROTFLMAO@ the mere idea of Bay's films being "good". The first one was passable. The second, however, was mediocre by "mindless action flick" standards. I'm not even going to touch actual "good movie" standards. The first one, even though it (somehow) managed to come together coherently, -still- butchered the characters/story in a vain attempt to appeal to a wider audience.
This is what the pre-movie fans are hoping for this time around: proof that something epic, concentrating on the bots alone, could have won just as big.
Plus, it's kind of nice to be able to look at the bot and know them without having to be told who they are :)
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
The Dark side.... it beckons :(.
Transformers is looking good however. :D
