Look, we here at Destructoid are nice people. Usually. That's why we wanted to give Kerberos Studio a second chance.
Perhaps you saw this footage of budget PC action RPG Fort Zombie the other day? Not a pretty sight to behold, I know. I don't know the reasons behind the chugging, and thankfully, I don't need to -- based on this new trailer, that previous video was not indicative of the final product.
The one seen above in all its mildly interesting, slightly hilarious glory presumably is. The execution may not be quite there, but I must say, the core concept of piecing together forts is neat. Perhaps even neat enough to warrant the $10 asking price.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

I like the deployable barrier thing in a zombie game (there are deployable barriers on several games, but not zombie ones as far as I can remember.) .. but everything else doesn't feel like a good experience.
10 bucks price-tag justify a game being smaller, less-sophisticated, having less technology.. etc.. but not being un-fun (not saying it is, I haven't played it.) nor being ugly/visually unconvincing/unappealing.
That depends more so in talent, vision and planning than in money. Small production doesn't have to mean less-quality.
Ironically, zombie movies have the same issues with these "production cliches", regarding movie makers believing zombie movies are for "students" trying to "make a buck" with cheap acting and poor writing/etc..
I agree with Char Aznable. I love games where you are given a chance to build up your base defenses to your liking but this game doesn't look particularly promising yet. I'll keep it on my radar but I'm not going to get my hopes up.
Hate to doublepost BUT I just now realized where the music in the trailer (and main menu) came from after it nagged at me all day: It's Ride the Flying Polyp by The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, a Vancouver rock band that has been in, err, well, Rock Band, that plays songs mostly based on HP Lovecraft stories! Tres nerdcore.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Who in their right mind approved that original trailer that was posted? Talk about a bad PR move.
And yeah, that other trailer was...unfortunate.
They redeemed themselves!
