As you may already know, 3D Realms is dead. With them gone, the fate of Duke Nukem Forever is up in the air. We've been seeing some pictures from Duke Nukem Forever pop up around the Internet this past week, but what everyone has really been waiting for is for some gameplay footage. Thanks to Kfizz's quick blogging, we now have some awesome footage from the game.
First off, holy sh*t this looks great! The animation for the enemy Pigs and creatures looks great, the classic Duke humor is there (Duke freaking b*tch smacks the back of a giant bosses' head) and there's even a boss fight in a football stadium again! Sorry, there was going to be a boss fight in a football stadium. Wow. I think the shock of this possibly never coming out now is finally hitting me.
Video is Not Safe For Work as there's a topless stripper showing off her goods at the 0:49 mark. Youtube usually takes done videos with nudity pretty fast, so here's a backup of the footage over on our Viddler. Otherwise, hit the break to see what could have been.

FUCK. Looked awesome, I hope someone else takes over development and releases the game already. It's kind of weird knowing the game will probably never be released now.

I guess what people say is true, you honestly never knew what you had until you lost it. I hope someone else picks this up. Duke Nukem is too awesome to go down like this.
Wow, some of you are so easily impressed. No offense, but after being in development for over ten years, that looks like shit. The graphics look slightly worse than Prey's (Not a bad thing, but c'mon, they could do better), and it looks like they barely worked on it (Like the clipping that showed up). The animations were great, though.
Am I really one of the only people that's unimpressed? If they released it I would want to at least try it for the novelty of playing what is undeniably the king of vaporware but seriously that looked like something that would have been an good average game 8 years ago.
@ monodi: the tits had nothing to do with it, the raw power of Duke Nukem's manliness is what lit my rocket. i'm gonna go play my 64 right now and kill some octobrains.
Well, its looks better then I imagined, but whether is was going to suck or not I do wish 3DRealms could have finished it just to prove everyone wrong. It woulda sold well just because of the pure OMG factor of it sitting on a store shelf.

I don't get what all the hype is right now? It's still just as vaporware as it was last week, except now we KNOW it's not up to quality that should be expected after over a decade in development. To me, it looks like they once again ended up waiting too long, and their current tech is starting to look dated. I mean seriously, look at duke every time you see his arms. It looks like he's covered either in plastic, or sweats like a mother. This seriously looks like a launch title for the 360, not 2-3 years into the console, let alone a PC title. And considering the expected gameplay is "kill shit while smacking bastards and rescuing bitches", all you could have hoped for was crazy awesome graphics. Instead, we have a game that looks like it'll be more of a letdown that Daikatana.
Ah, removed? I probably just missed one of the best trailers ever. Or just a bunch of animation showings with little to no gameplay in it. I may never know now.
In terms of trailers I much preferred the previous one, although this is actually a show reel for the person who animated it. Its a shame, but after 10 years I can only hope that people go and make a good Duken Nukem mod with the source engine and end the long bloody wait finally, if this was a shot of where the game was heading I say fire the management and keep the animators and get someone who actually isn't sitting on their hands. Lets see if Take two can pull Duke out of the gutter.
Maybe if Duke didn't spend all his money on strippers he might have been able to release his game. I never thought i'd say this about DNF, but that looks kind of cool.
oh god, I loved the one-liners. it looks like it was coming along nicely. honestly, half of me wanted it to be awesome if it ever came out, and it looked like it was going on the right track.

anyways, I think Duke Nukem is an IP with awesome potential, and that current tech would allow for a great Duke Nukem game.
