Let's dance: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars soundtrack detailed photo

With Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars hitting shelves next Tuesday, Rockstar has finally decided to reveal details on the game's soundtrack.

While the limits of the DS cart mean you won't be getting the full suite of licensed goodness you normally get in GTA titles, Rockstar is at least trying to make up for it. The game will feature in-car radio stations, like Electro-Choc, IF99, Tuff gong, The Beat, and Radio Broker. The music will be a mix of original and licensed instrumental tracks from producer you might not have heard of because you're not cool enough. Deadmau5, Truth & Soul, Ticklah, Prairie Cartel and Alchemist, for example.

See, told you you weren't cool enough. (Note: If you actually are cool enough, I apologize.  I wasn't cool enough to know that you were cool enough.)

Only one I've heard of is Alchemist, he's a great producer, hopefully this game will turn to be as great as it looks.

Same as Justice. I've heard of a few of Alchemist's work. I wasn't really expecting too much licensed tracks on the ds cartridge anyway.

I'm unexpectedly excited for this game. When I first heard about it I reacted in the same way twister1988 did. It's really shaping up though.

Radio Broker sounds like a talk station to me.

Also, I want more GTA music to be like GTA3. I'm sure I'm the minority, but I still think that had the best soundtrack of all. There was so much variety and I enjoyed most all of it. There were only 3 stations I'd regularly change the station on (Head, LIPS and Flashback), sometimes Double Cleff, but only if I was craving something specific. I think Rise FM is still my favorite station of any station in any GTA game, though.

The entire album should have been done by DOOM and Tony Starks (Ghostface Killah).

I wonder how big this game is. I know there are DS games over 100mb, and I think the limit right now is 512mb.

Those are some good names. I look forward to the music, but still don't know much about the game.
Also I'm itching like a fiend to get that DOOM/Ghost track from the trailer.

Hell no. Radio Broker is your typical indie/alt rock station. Hence, GTA4.
