I have some misgivings about Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. For one, I think the lego mini figures look ridiculous with those big bulbous eyes. Second, I couldn't care less about The Clone Wars story. I enjoy the show, but it's usually just as good with the sound off.
The good news is, it looks like not all of the game will take place during The Clone Wars time-frame. According to a mini-interview with USAToday, we'll get to relive key scenes from the films as well, including a reenactment of the climactic battle at Geonosis at the end of Attack of the Clones. It might be tough to pull of a battle of that scope, but it sounds like Traveler's Tales up to the task. They're planning on pushing the game's engine as hard as they can, with +300 interactive characters planned for some scenes.
There will also be playable characters from other Star Wars storylines, such as The Force Unleashed, with over 175 playable characters in all. I seriously hope they stick an E.T. in there. Lego E.T. would kick ass.
Five things you didn't know about Lego Star Wars III [USAToday]

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
He's just correcting him so Holmes doesn't make the mistake again. Cool down.
Surprisingly enough, pretty much every LEGO game STILL comes out on PS2! That's amazing from-the-grave support!
They're two different phrases, both work.

I agree, I sometimes can't believe some of the things they do on it considering it's an American cartoon geared towards kids. I quite enjoyed and personally feel it gets better every season. Looking foward to season 3 starting back up.
I'll be checking out the reviews for this and hope it turns out well.
Lego Indianna Jones & Lego Batman were both dull games to me as I simply don't care much for the respective stories.
But I've put more hours into Lego Harry Potter this week than Fallout NV and Dead Rising put together.
With that said, I want to buy this, and the technical advancements sound fantastic, but if they're used to enhance the rescue of Jabba the Hutt's conveniently never mentioned son, then I couldn't give a squid.
Roll on Lego Hobbit/LOTR.
Lego HP wasn't on PS2, and with all the added polish this one has doubt it'll be heading the way of the older model either.
Anyway the RTS-system looks fun and to answer Lycan XIII question:
I suppose that thing is Gor, General Grievous' pet-thing.
