 I swear, the blogosphere (buzzword, -5 street cred) would not survive without LEGOs. When they aren't being used to make awesome video games out of popular licenses, they're being used to create mostly awesome replicas of popular licenses.

(Un)Like so many before them, Legohaulic's Warthog and Spectre (courtesy of Halo 2) replicas look like total badasses; although, that may be due to the dramatic lighting and photography. Or maybe I like these so much because I was never really good at LEGOs. I can follow instructions well enough, but I could never figure out how to make a curve.

In any case, check out the gallery -- seems like the Spectre opens up, all hydraulic-like. And the Warthog ... doesn't have any special tricks. It just sits there and looks pretty, as most Warthogs are proned to do.

These are pretty SW33T. I'd buy a set of these.

I bet Mr. Lego is an insanely rich man/dead.

It seems the Warthog can turn its wheels. The Spectre looks cool...altough whether accurate to design I don't know, Since I've never played Halo 2.

its nice to see some Halo Lego creations that don't suck.

@Velcroman -

It's made of red bricks, the way the light hits it makes it seem to have an organ tint is all.

Bungie and Traveller's Tales should get together to make LEGO Halo. I can't wait to dismember the Covenant with a plasma sword and watch them fly into adorable little pieces.

It's probably pretty hard to come by purple legos without special ordering them, so red was used as a substitute.

Legos should be like M&Ms . You should be able to order just about any color you would want.

@ bhive01:

You can custom order the exact pieces you need in every color they offer. There doesn't seem to be any purple bricks though.

Dramatic lighting and good photography make all the difference. Yay for Halo LEGO that doesn't suck! (And thanks for the "via," Orcist.)
