LEGO Indiana Jones 2 demo hits Xbox LIVE Marketplace photo

A month or so after its release, a demo for LEGO Indiana Jones: The Adventure Continues has hit Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

The demo for Traveller's Tales' latest LEGO adventure takes up about 425 megs of space, and gives players the opportunity to control Indy or Mac as they do some crap from that Crystal Skull movie most of us are trying to forget. You'll use your whip, move some boxes around, and bring a statue to life using the Staff of Ra. Oh, and you can do it with a friend -- the co-op goodness of Traveller's Tales' LEGO games carries over here.

While the Traveler's Tales LEGO games used to be cause for some celebration (the LEGO Star Wars games, while simple, are highly-regarded), it seems to have lost its luster a bit. I mean, it doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with LEGO Indiana Jones... it's just that I hadn't even realized it had come out last month.

Next up for the developer, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1–4. Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like.

It must be a slow morning. At least post about 0 Day, that game I can't download yet because MS takes forever to finalize marketplace content.

But I didn't realize Indy 2 had Crystal Skull content in it. Yet another reason for me to never play it. Unless there is a level where I'm stuck as Shialebouf constantly slicking my hair back with a comb. That nets be 1000 achievement points.

I liked the first LEGO Star Wars a lot. I liked the sequel too, but didn't have the patience to complete 100%. LEGO Indiana Jones I finished the missions and never played it more. And now I don't even thinking about picking any other LEGO games.

There are two huge problems with these LEGO games in my opinion:

-It's very very easy, since you don't have lives and spawn in the same place you died.
-The combat is simplistic and repetitive.
-All of them are very much alike, there's a few improvements, but the experience is the same. They really need to do a revamp of the series, they are just losting their fun. I'm surprised they only included a level editor and a co-op splitscreen now.

Holding out for "the complete saga" just like I did with LEGO Star Wars.

Of course the experience is the same. LEGO's whole shtick is, "Hey look it's Star Wars/Batman/Indiana Jones except it's made of LEGO!" Totally understandable how it would get old after the first couple of iterations of essentially the same game.

Yeah, they've gotten really over saturated.

@ RenagadePanda:

It is a slow news morning (holidays much?), and there's 0 Day content coming later today.

@ Nick

Awesome. And oh yeah, it's Christmas almost isn't it?

I pretty much forgot about it.

I made it halfway through the Star Wars Complete Saga game before kinda losing interest, since it got so damn repetitive. Not even the Batman license has compelled me to go back to the Lego games, although it might be worth a rental.

Agreed wholeheartedly on the three points you mentioned, Script-br.

These Lego games are becoming like Guitar Hero titles to me. There is 2 damn many of them, and it's pretty much the same shit with a different coat of paint.

Wow, a Lego Indiana Jones game about a film that DOES NOT EXIST. *hides from brutal reality*
