LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 set for November 11 photo

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games are going for the rather typical release window with LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7. It'll be releasing on November 11, 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, DS, 3DS, and PC. Where's our N-Gage port, guys?!

Strangely enough, I think the prior Harry Potter installment is the only modern-day LEGO game I've played. Sure, it was fun and all, but nothing can touch my fond memories of LEGO Island. Speaking of which, I'm afraid to look up videos of that game knowing full well it probably hasn't aged gracefully.

I'm surprised you didn't mention that it's releasing on the same day as one of the undeniable biggest games of this year. I think many gamers will be too busy fighting dragons and having same-sex inter-species marriages to care about waving a Lego wand around.

I've enjoyed many of the Lego games, the Harry Potter installment was one of the ones I enjoyed the most. Here's hoping I can magically find some wads of cash to get it along with everything else coming out in the next few months.

Lego wishlist:
A-team
Buck Rodgers
Thundercats
Aliens
Predator
Terminator
Hot fuzz / Shawn of the dead
World war Z ( seriously, so many stories in that book to fill s game )
Battle star gala tics new & old

Technically speaking, Harry Potter does have dragon killing, same-sex, and inter-species marriages.

Who’s to say none of that made it into the Lego game?

I really just want a proper Harry Potter RPG. I think that would be insanely cool given this universe and what happens in it. I think the Lego games have been really cute and fun, but I am over them at this stage. I want proper games made with these licenses damnit!!

Actually, it's coming on November 18th and not 11th.

Ummm, good luck getting sales on that. Everybody will be busy playing both Skyrim and the fully released Minecraft.
But oh well.

What Handy said.

What about a Lego Elder Scrolls now?

Well, I don't own a current system (unless the DS counts), I like the Lego games and I don't care about Skyrim, so if the DS version is good, I'll get it. I wish they would have released this on PS2 still. It's not like the Lego games are graphically intense or anything.

While I wouldn't call it "proper", you should check out Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone on the Gameboy color. My favorite Harry potter game ever. Turned based rpg with card collecting, multiple spells, and a new game+! Loved every minute of it. I think Chamber of Secrets also came out on the GBC with the same gameplay too. Fairly awesome.

Plus, they continued this series (Griptonite is who I mean) on the GBA with Prisoner of Azkaban. I just discovered its existence after loving the first two GBC games for eight years, and am loving it.
