Warner Brothers Interactive and TT Games have announced that it will be releasing a demo for LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on June 7. The demo is a taste of what to expect when the game hits shelves on June 29 -- bricked-out versions of your favorite Hogwarts students getting into trouble in their zany adventures.

The game is said to feature up to 140 playable characters, including the usual suspects (Harry and the gang) as well as that jerk-face Draco, Sirius Black, and more. Each character will have different abilities based on their skills. Ron uses his little rat pal Scabbers to get into nooks and crannies; Hermione is adept at spell-casting; Harry Potter is all emo over the death of his parents.

A demo for the title is also said to hit PlayStation 3 and Windows in "late June."

A LEGO Voldemort practices his game face

Here's a cute trailer for the coming conclusion of the epic LEGO Harry Potter saga, LEGO Harry Potter: Years-5-7. Voldemort is working on being creepy but we all know what he really just wants in life (unlife? re-life?) is to be loved. Perhaps this little boost to his self-image will do the trick.  more
