With a name like Victor Fries, life could have gone a few ways for the scientist with the unfortunate surname. He could have spent his life working dead-end fast food jobs, when a botched store robbery leads to a horrible deformity and drives him to a life of crime as the nefarious Mr. Fries. But that's not how it happened at all.

In the Batman universe, Fries is driven insane by the death of his wife in a cryogenic accident that also leaves the doctor unable to survive outside of a sub-zero environment. He blames Batman for his wife's untimely death and condition, and dons a special suit and becomes the villainous Mr. Freeze.

Warner Bros. Interactive sent along these screens of the little guy in action in the upcoming LEGO Batman: The Videogame. He's certainly looking mighty serious as he terrorizes Gotham City with pals like The Riddler and Scarecrow.

LEGO Batman: The Videogame is set to hit shelves this fall, and will probably be available on a system you own (since it's coming to seven of them).

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
