LEGO Batman confirmed for a 2008 release photo

To be featured on all consoles, Traveller’s Tales and Warner Bros. Interactive have confirmed they will be working together to release a LEGO Batman game in 2008.

With all the LEGO video game madness lately, I am kind of getting sick of anything LEGO-related. Even the word LEGO is starting to get on my nerves with its all-capital using self-righteousness. What makes you better than all the other words, LEGO?!

I have to admit, though, the LEGO Star Wars games were pretty fun distractions so a Batman game in the same vein could be interesting. If anything, just the chance of an entertaining Batman game being produced is enough to pique my interest. The Dark Knight is awesome, but his games? Not so much.

What do you think? Would you be interested in playing a LEGO Batman game? What other subject would you eventually love to see get the LEGO treatment (my vote is for LEGO Sophie’s Choice)?

I loved LEGO Star Wars I, but haven't had a chance to play II yet. Still 40$. If it were $20 like 1 I'd pick it up for the GC to play on the Wii. Once caught up, I might play Batman after that. I bet a lot of people would go for some simple button mashing with Batman. As long as it's fun like the Star Wars games though.

I actually hope they'll stick to the original tv series. It'll be more colorful for sure, and the jokes you could make... priceless.

Not that the above is a picture of what it will look like, but if it is, then it looks more like the Tim Burton Movies or maybe Batman Begins...

But the original series would be nice and colorful, and very LEGO. That was one thing I was a bit worried about. Everything is so dark with Batman. He works at night, he wears black, etc... At least in the original series Batman and Robin worked during the day sometimes and ran around in more colorul clothing. Gray instead of black... Good idea Rockvillian!

if you thought current games were black wait till batman lego comes out, you'll experince a whole game in black. Ever "Black" the neversoft game wasn't as black as this.

HDTV users will have to turn contrast and brightness up to max to experience this in true hd

I love LEGO. Had a ton of them when I was a kid(back before there was Star Wars LEGOs, Dragon LEGOs, etc...). I really liked the Star Wars LEGO games, and I am a huge fan of Batman!!! But really, an MMO based on LEGO?!?! Somethings should be left alone.

To me, the LEGO name just means the graphical style of the game. The LEGO Star Wars games had real fun gameplay, so if you enjoyed the graphics, it was a solid game. This Batman LEGO could be good, but I won't base it on the LEGO name at all. It's like cell shading. Some people like it, some don't. It's a nice way for those that don't like the LEGO graphics style to be able to steer clear.

Lego RESIDENT EVIL or GOD OF WAR... I know they're not movie franchises, but screw it! It'd be ACE!

Movie-wise... I'm sticking to it... BATTLE ROYALE!

bhive, Lego Star Wars 2 is now $19.99 for the GC at Target.

I haven't played it either. I'm just going to wait for the complete saga game to come to the Wii this X-Mas. It's suppose to have new levels, and waggle.
