This can only end in dissapointment, I'm afraid.
Regardless, the hack is interesting. I honestly think that the fact that it is FR/LG will take away some of the creepiness. Lavender town isn't as creepy with bright music and more cheerful music.
Exactly. The coolest part of the story is the idea that there was this one haunted Pokemon hack circulating around out there. Who created it and why? While this still sounds like a cool thing to check out, the fact that we've all read the story and know where it's coming from diminishes it a little bit. They should still totally do it though.
@Stevil
That sounds like an incredibly cool idea. The article definitely made me think about horror games exploring the idea that the actual physical game you are playing is the thing that is cursed/haunted (as opposed to a house/manor/etc. inside of the fictional game world).
I hardly doubt that he lost the cartridge, stuff like you don't put anywhere, you put it in a safe spot. I would guess it is made up to keep the idea of such a cartridge being one of a kind or cursed. If you see the picture itself you can tell that it is fake (why would he delete the background?).
Either way I was scared too for a good 10 minutes and if such a thing exists I would not hesitate to play it...alone...in the dark...in the middle of the woods (wow what a scary thought).
Is this something that requires me to understand the appeal of horror games before I am able to understand it?
Oh, and the hack should have been done on Pokemon Red, especially so they could use the original Lavender Town music.
Damn I miss it :(
what an amazing read.
