I’m starting to believe Zelda doesn’t mind being hassled by Gannon or having all this weird fantasy crap happen to her. Every time she gets kidnapped or dipped into acid she gets a Nintendo videogame named after her. Plus, some dashing little green dude always goes through hell and back in order to get her out of the jam (acid). Both these things have to make a chick feel special at the end of the day, right?
Regardless, Zelda continues this fine tradition of screwing over the little green dude in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, the fifteenth installment in the Zelda series.
Above is the launch trailer for the DS game, released earlier last afternoon. It does the normal trailer thing -- gets us excited for the impending release by presenting slivers of the action-packed segments of the game.
Spirit Tracks hits December 7th in the US. If you want to know more about the game, hit this literature.
I like the look of that game. I really liked Phantom Hourglass, and I like the emphasis on vehicle transport and using items in many different ways. I also like that Zelda looks like she'll be a much bigger character this time around than in most cases. If they flesh it out a little more than Phantom Hourglass, then we could really have a grade-A Zelda on our hands here.
Seeing as Phantom Hourglass is my favorite DS game so far and a top 5 Zelda for me, I have high hopes for this one. One of the few games to use the touch screen right, and it was charming throughout.

Still looks pretty good.
I'm excited to see how this game pans out. It's co-op (I believe), and that alone will be awesome. Now all I need is a DS to play it on.
Yeah, this trailer seems to have done the job. As well as the possession bit, I also liked the train combat section. Looking very sweet. :O)
