Legend of Dungeon teases its tunes in new video

9:00 AM on 12.15.2012

Developer Robot Loves Kitty has a new video for Legend of Dungeon, the multiplayer, roguelike-inspired beat-'em-up which met its initial funding goal on Kickstarter soon after going up on the site. This time, the focus is on the game's "dynamically interactive music" that's said to adjust based on the types of enemies in the room.

I couldn't really pick up on the intricacies in the example provided here, but that probably means it's working, to some extent, and this is also a work in progress. The idea, however, is something I'm generally a fan of for replay-centric games like this.

There's still time left to grab the Legend of Dungeon demo (Windows, Linux, and Mac) from the Kickstarter page -- or, while you're at it, show support for the project with your wallet. The stretch goals for the pet system and additional character classes have been met. Up next, at $30K, are further classes (including a bard!) and an Android version.

Review: Legend of Dungeon

I was feeling pretty cocky when I entered the home of a classy vampire and her kitten chum. I had a magical sword, a hat that gave me Flash-like super speed, and more health-giving apples than you could possibly eat in a life...more

Legend of Dungeon alpha now on sale for Windows/Mac/Linux

Robot Loves Kitty is now selling "nearly beta" builds of its wonderful-looking beat-'em-up Legend of Dungeon via the Humble Store. For $10, an entirely reasonable price from what I've played, you will get this pre-release ve...more

Legend of Dungeon meets Kickstarter goal on first day

Backing up a step, yes, that pretty-looking beat-'em-up from the other day, Legend of Dungeon, has taken to Kickstarter. As luck would have it, the campaign surpassed its admittedly rather modest goal of $5,000 within 24 hour...more

Legend of Dungeon shows the importance of good lighting

While its name isn't remarkable, Legend of Dungeon caught my eye due to its premise and rather awesome-looking visual style. The game, a cooperative beat-'em-up for up to four players, brings pixel art to life with its light...more

Shovel Knight now available for Mac

Shovel Knight is now available on Mac, Yacht Club Games announced today. The studio also supplied updates on the Linux version and European release, both of which are apparently moving forward, though no real timetables were specified. Also, physical rewards from the title's Kickstarter campaign will likely be sent out very soon.more

Titan Souls is my PAX Prime 2014 game of show

Confession time: I'm pretty out of the loop when it comes to the indie game scene. I love me some Nidhogg, Samurai Gunn, and Crawl, but it's not uncommon for me to have only heard about these games just before release or late...more

Adam Freeman's Berzerk-influenced Hazard is pretty snazzy, also completely free
