Left 4 Dead 2 Xbox LIVE Silver demo GET! photo

Similar to the happy ending found in Trading Places, so too will the lowly Xbox LIVE Silver members wanting to play the Left 4 Dead 2 demo get their happy ending today.

A week delay is a kick in the groin, but at least with another week until the game's street date it's not a total waste of an otherwise fine demo. With all of the talk of pre-loading and what have you, most of what can be said about it has been said already. Damn you, Razak!

Also, for those who care, and I honestly don't know why you wouldn't, the Wikipedia entry on Trading Places has an absurdly in-depth explanation for Winthorpe and Valentine's scheme to get revenge on the Dukes. It's legit. Who knew?

I've got the demo on 360 AND PC, just to see what the differences are like.
Pretty much a waste of 1GB of 360 HDD space, since the PC version's so much better.

@Jon B:

And why is that?

PC controls, and magic-versus-mode-we-shouldn't-be-playing-yet.

Plus the TF2 hat. People are actually buying the game JUST for that hat. Crazy.

I did the same and the graphics look a lot better (crisper) and the control system (mouse and keyboard) is better

I'll get the "stupid broken xbox" edition when that comes out.

Yeah Left 4 dead is one of those games where I feel like I need the extra precision.

I've preordered both. The PC needs that quick 180 button. It's a lifesaver.

I always find that 180 button leaves me more disorientated than anything. But I will be going for the 360 version.
I rarely play on line, prefer split screen.

For some reason, the 360 is a LAGasaurus Rex for me and all my friends. Connections are always the worst despite solid internet connections. The PC version runs so much better, so that's where my money will be going. However, I hear single player on the 360 actually works well. So...there's that.

@CaptainApocalypse

Me too..I dunno what is up with that. I thought it was my internet, but I went to a friend's house and he has fiber optic internet and it STILL was laggy for the L4D2 demo. I really, really hope they smooth this out before it comes out, as it is probably the last game I'm getting this year and I'm super excited.
Don't crush my hopes and dreams, valve!
