I feel as though the consumers have the right to be angry if they felt that L4D didn't pack as much content in as it should have. If Valve continues to release maps and campaigns for L4D then I think everything will be gravy.

When I was a youngin' in the 80's, I'd watch horror movies broadcast during the day and would always have the shit scared out of me. I've since associated those feelings of terror with daylight and can just as easily become frightened during daylight instead of exclusively at night.
That's not to say I'm afraid of the daylight like some people would be afraid of the dark; I just appreciate the creepiness that can surround a location in daylight, especially if you're all alone.

One point there was an intelligent discussion and we came to a logical conclusion about maybe a pre-sale discount and/or a discount if you already own L4D 1.... but that was almost instantly crushed by numbnuts who compare Newell to Hitler. Gotta love it.

I'm curious about the melee weapons. How useful will those really be if you can still just shove enemies and blow their faces off, or spray around a bit with an AR? If there is a demonstration or something that I just missed, please let me know.

That was one of my burning questions coming into my demo of it. Of course I'm a noob (only 45 total minutes), but I didn't find them "TOO" useful. When you have a melee weapon, you can't switch between anything else, otherwise you drop it. In closed circumstances, it can be extremely effective, especially if you want to save ammo. They purposely made them very powerful (even the frying pan).

Valve will fucking troll everyone when they announce that it IS dlc, however not free. Everybody will be wrong.
I bought L4D1 about a week after it came out, but will hold off on this until a 50% Steam weekend or something.

A lot of people don't agree with L4D2 being a full priced sequel and have many other concerns, so they decided to actually do something about it and let themselves be heard as that's the only thing they can do. And if your voice is strong enough, you might actually change some things (EA's DRM backlash, Sims 3)
