Batman: Arkham Asylum is just around the corner. Eidos and WB keep pumping out marketing for what's looking to be a very cool game. This video is different, however, as it focuses less on what's going on in the Asylum during the game but what happened in its early years.
Learn the tale of Amadeus Arkham, what drove him to cure the insane and how he eventually came to join them, imprisoned in his own hospital. It's nice to see that they're sticking to the canon and exposing those who might only be casual Batman fans into some of the deeper mythology.
The video is below. Are you guys psyched for this game yet? I know I can hardly wait until next week to don the cowl.

Yo! Canucks! Batman: Arkham Asylum is retailing for $38.83 at both Wal-Mart and Best Buy on the 25th. As far as I know, it's Canada only at this point.
This game looks absolutely phenomenal.
I will be buying the over-priced special edition, something I rarely ever do.
Just read through my deluxe hardcover version of Batman: The Killing Joke and about to buy Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth and Batman: Hush tomorrow.
=)
@Artemus - Good call on Hush too, Absolute Edition at all? :-)
This game is my must buy, I dont think a demo has been played more times.
Ive been saving for the collectors edition because I really want that notebook. But this trailer makes it look bloody terrifying. Bring on August 28th!
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Deal and a half!

Yeah! I can't believe that graphic novel has escaped me all these years. Now it's time!
@Themightylebeau2009
Yes, I am looking to buy that edition, if possible. And, yes - I want, need, that notebook.
Also, batarang. =)
